Online Ordering System

 

Our online system Easy Order 1.5 was designed technologically to be fast, informative, save data entry time, and offer a variety of services. At a time when most online sites were still coded in HTML, RD Delivery was amoung the first to code in .net. Developing in this code offered our clients quicker information as well as set the trend for our immediate dispatch services.

Easy Order 1.5 is currently English only and does not require the download of software or configurations. It works best on Internet Explorer but also functions well on Netscape. We use a reliable server for our system and to date we have not been offline for any longer than what it takes to reboot a server.

Easy Order 1.5 is our express route to quickly placing your high priority orders. Our system allows you to input all of your orders online. Our online system allows you to enter multiple orders at one time and gives you the ability to confirm all orders that you have entered prior to sending them. The Address Book gives you the ability to save and create a database for all companies and addresses that you may frequently use. This feature allows you to enter your orders more quickly rather than to have to type the full information each time.

Each Identified User will be given a user name and password to enter the system. The user name is numbered and becomes part of the account number.

Once logged in, the site default page is the Tracking Screen. This screen displays all orders that have been placed for the day and shows the status of each order.


There are 4 statuses beginning from creation to delivery.

Not Sent- Order has been created by client but not released for pick up

Unconfirmed – Client has released order and order has been emailed to messenger

Confirmed – Messenger has acknowledged the order and is on route to pick and deliver.

Delivered – Order has been delivered

Once a package has been delivered a Proof of Delivery can be viewed from the tracking screen

Order Screen

 
  • Ability to place order for immediate pick up or for future pick up.
  • Clients address is the default pick up address
  • Contains fields, Addresses, Company Names, Phone Numbers, and Contacts for both pick up and delivery

Notable Mentions

  • 3 Email confirmation fields – sends confirmation to requested email of delivery. Includes POD
  • Auto Quote – as specifications of order are entered the Auto Quote calculates the cost of the delivery so that sender knows the cost prior to sending order.
  • Department Field – By selecting a saved department, order is later grouped together with all orders sent via that particular department and available for viewing in Search and Report as well as billing where all orders are broken down. This saves accounting time for our clients when it comes to department charge backs.

Tracking Screen

 
  • The calendar allows user to view historical, present day, and future order.
  • Displays all orders for the day selected and statistics provides the current statuses of all orders at a quick glance.
  • Each order has an individual status as mentioned above and are viewable with a quick description of order.
  • Each order has a + sign. When that is touched it drops down and displays all aspects of the order including POD and the time order was created, sent, confirmed, and delivered. This drop down also includes how the order was calculated in price and gives final total of order.

Pre-Scheduled Orders

 
  • Pre-Scheduled Orders are imputed by RD Delivery Inc. once and put on a schedule. Therefore, client never has to enter order as it will automatically create it’s self on the assigned days.

Address Book

 
  • Contains all of our clients saved addresses
  • Saves data entry time.
  • User can delete and add addresses in this screen.

Search and Report

 
  • Allows user to search for particular orders by selecting from drop down. All, Order Number, Department, Person, Company, Address
  • A time frame can be entered to help narrow search
  • All reports give the following data. Number of orders, Break down of service levels, statuses of orders, Number of pieces, Total cost of all orders.
  • One touch reporting is a quick way to sum up your days work. It will calculate all the above figures, and break them down via department.
  • A good example of how this is beneficial is you select, All and a period of 1 year the report page will break down via departments and give all totals individually as well as a final sum at the end. 10 seconds you can have a years worth of activity for your viewing.

  • All reports are downloadable.
  • All reports give an On time delivery percentage. This tells our clients what percentages of our deliveries were delivered on time. This is one more feature that we provide to back up our claim that we are dedicated to completing our orders as scheduled.

Training for the system is available however our online tutorial is also extremely helpful and covers all aspects of the system
